In May 2022, STICA published an annual report in which a majority of member companies disclosed the full scope of their GHG emissions for 2020. You can access this report below. It includes updates from the initiative overall, as well as testimonials and policy recommendations. However, to ensure we are providing the most recent data available, we have published this additional abbreviated progress update. Stakeholders can now access the most recent GHG emissions data from STICA member companies for 2021.
Our second Progress Report has now been published and is available for download. In this report, a majority of STICA member companies present their greenhouse gas emissions for Scopes 1, 2 and 3 activities, as well as disclose their targets. The report also includes a number of other important sections, including a discussion on strengths and limitations of the STICA methodology, an analysis of some of the key challenges companies and the industry are facing, and a call to action for policy makers.
Our first Progress Report has now been published and is available for download. In this report, we summarize the first steps taken by STICA member companies regarding climate action and reporting, presenting their greenhouse gas emissions from their Scopes 1 and 2 activities. Next year company members will be required to present their greenhouse gas emissions for Scopes 1, 2 and 3. They will also be asked to commit to targets aligned with what is required to stay within a 1.5°C pathway.
